Dear Congressman,

Re: How dare he?

I refer to Trump's casual reference to "the calm before the storm" before a dinner with military officials and their wives last week. And to his subsequent coy refusal to elaborate. What are, for instance, the North Koreans to think about this childish insinuation? What about Iran? Or those in any other delicate and potentially explosive situation in the world?

How dare this man use his power to play such games with matters as serious as world peace in a nuclear age? At least one Republican senator (Corker) has had the guts to come out and tell the truth about this dangerously unqualified and unserious man. I call on other senators to do likewise. And I call on you, my Congressman, to denounce this potentially catastrophic misuse of presidential power.

The American presidency is not a joke, and it's not--as Senator Corker noted--a reality television show.
