Re: That “rendezvous”
Well, it
has been three days and I’ve heard nothing further about that rendezvous you
have been angling for with Trump. Still, watching the other news, I gather that
he’s busy trying to polish up his image with his visits to Texas. First time
around, he apparently forgot to make nice with any of the victims, or even take
a look at any of the damaged areas. Hence the return trip today. In my view, he
should have done the right thing on the first trip, and saved the taxpayer the
considerable cost of doubling up. It’s widely reported that the travel and
secret service costs for himself and his family are already completely out of
hand. And he made no bones about his pouncing on Obama for much more modest
expenditures!
Have a good
weekend—though you won’t get this letter until Monday. And good luck with your
rendezvous.
